This challenge for global kids to use the arts to draw attention to the earth came from Imani Ogana of the Kijani Gang, a kids’ environmental group in Nairobi, Kenya. Imani’s skills in fine art, computer graphics, and video editing, skills built as a student at the Rusinga Schools, have empowered him to spread his message about protecting the earth.

This challenge came from 14 -year-old Anmar M., from the Harsham Refugee Camp in Iraq. Anmar suggested that global BPF kids share food with each other, as a sign of true friendship.
Kids from three schools in China accepted Iraqi Big Picture Foundation member, Anmar M’s challenge. May, Martina, ZhiHao, Yike, Lucia, and Lisa take you on a culinary tour of China, thereby affirming their friendship with you, our BPF kids around the world.

Nutriendo El Futuro, Barrio El Calvario, el Hatillo, Caracas
we are working on getting the Nutriendo El Futuro kids involved with Big Picture Foundation projects. Nutriendo El Futuro offers daily dinner to 100 children aged 2 to 8 years old every afternoon from 5:00 – 6:30 pm, Monday through Friday. This is the only time of the day that most of the children eat. The center is financed through private and business donations, mostly from those who, after visiting the site, commit assistance. The children’s mothers attend to cooking, maintenance, and childcare.
