Big Picture Foundation Inaugural Benefit on September 22nd with Cello Concert by Juilliard Pre-College Quartet – Ponticelli Music

.

On Sunday, September 22nd, local non-profit Big Picture Foundation (BPF) will host its inaugural fall benefit in support of global children’s arts programs. Rye High School sophomore and founding BPF member, Sean Yu, and the Ponticelli Cello Quartet, comprised of four students who are part of the Juilliard Pre-College Program, will perform. This event also marks four years of kids’ accomplishments and support for BPF.

.

Big Picture Foundation is an arts leadership and outreach 501(c)(3) organization that empowers kids to use the arts to build a global peer network and to impact their local, national and global communities.  Over the past three years, kids have participated from 31 countries and 6 continents. Informally founded in 2015 by Rye Middle School teacher Kim Tamalonis and her students, and then incorporated and turned into a nonprofit organization on January 9th, 2017, BPF’s programs offer unique educational opportunities. BPF participants contribute to online global art galleries three times a year, make connections across communities, learn about world cultures, and serve others through outreach events.

.

A collaboration between the Ponticelli organization and the Big Picture Foundation, the September 22nd benefit will feature a concert by Rye High School student Sean Yu and his Ponticelli cello quartet members Jenny Jiang, Dylan Wu and Chelsie Lim, all members of the Juilliard pre-college program. The concert is expected to draw families from Rye and the surrounding areas and will be an incredible opportunity to hear and support local talent. Festivities will also include a silent auction and light refreshments.
