Upcoming APPLE Store workshops – For our second year in a row, Big Picture Foundation (BPF) is collaborating with the awesome creative team at the Apple Store in Greenwich. The Apple Store will offer 2 workshops designed to help kids build new skills and make artwork that will be shown online in the BPF Spring 2019 Global Gallery. Attendees will create work for BPF online global galleries and have a blast, while becoming familiar with new technology.
Workshop #1: Digital Music-Making, Sunday, March 24th and Sunday, March 31st, 2-3:30 pmDuring this 2-day workshop, kids will develop digital music-making skills. Kids who sign up must commit to attending both sessions, in order to see projects through to completion. Workshop #2: Drawing with the Apple Pencil and iPad, Sunday, May 5th, 2-3:30 pmDuring this workshop, kids will use a range of strokes, marks, and line weights, as they draw using an Apple pencil. Bi-weekly BPF Leadership Group Meetings have temporarily moved to the Rye Rec (while the library undergoes renovations)
All active BPF kids are invited to attend these work-based meetings. The leadership kids help coordinate local events, write “thank you” letters, and communicate with global groups. These administrative sessions are not usually art-based. They are best suited to kids who would like to assume responsibility for keeping BPF strong.

Please submit kids’ artwork and stories about how they used the arts for local, national, and global community service events by January 31st, 2019, for the Winter 2019 Global
Rye High School 9th grader, regional manager for Back to Bach, Julliard student, and cello prodigy, Sean Yu, will lead the “Back to Bach” music appreciation workshop for his hometown community. Sean generously shares his love of music with kids, in order to foster passion and respect for classical music.
